Below are the basics of using Fringe Exchange. Here you will learn how to:

  1. Leave a Comment/Review on a show.
  2. Rate a show you’ve seen (from 1 to 10 hearts).
  3. Vote up/down a Patron Comment/Review
  4. Report a Patron Comment/Review.

Patron Comments/Reviews

As a patron, you may wish to leave a comment or full-fledged review on the show you just saw. To do this:

  • you must be logged in.
    • You can register directly on this site here, or by logging in with Facebook, Twitter, or Google on the same page.
  • you must visit the page of the show you wish to leave a comment/review on.
    • You can search for the show by the show’s title, or by the name of the producing company. You can also type in a keyword in any search box, in the event you can’t remember anything but a single phrase from their title or company name.
  • you must scroll to the bottom of the show page to the section that begins with WHAT’S YOUR TAKE? and type your comment/review into the comment box, then click the Post Comment button.
    • It will then be submitted for moderation. Be respectful!

Patron Ratings

Separate from comments, ratings are an easy way for patrons to get a sense of what’s popular at Fringe. If you would like to leave a rating:

  • you must be logged in.
    • You can register directly on this site here, or by logging in with Facebook, Twitter, or Google on the same page.
  • you must visit the page of the show you wish to leave a rating on.
    • You can search for the show by the show’s title, or by the name of the producing company. You can also type in a keyword in any search box, in the event you can’t remember anything but a single phrase from their title or company name.
  • you must scroll down to the section with the 10 hearts, and click on the heart that best describes your experience (that 10th heart sure looks appealing!)
    • You can only vote once per show listing, and you can not change your vote.
    • A show rating will ONLY be displayed in aggregate lists once 2 (two) separate users have rated it.

Comment/Review Voting

All comments/reviews can be up- or down-voted. This allows the community to police itself, and help our moderators to do their jobs.

  • The more votes for (thumbs up) a comment/review gets, the higher it will appear in the order of listing.
  • The more votes against (thumbs down) a comment/review gets, the lower it will appear in the order of listing.

Reporting a Comment/Review

If community policing is taking too long for you, you can report a Comment/Review by:

  • visiting the comment you wish to report.
  • clicking the Report button below the comment.
